Circular 65/23 Update on His Majesty The King Charles III portrait and patronage

RSL Australia has received correspondence from The Office of the Official Secretary of the Governor General advising that the Royal Household is conducting a detailed review of Royal Patronage following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The patronage of the RSL will fall within this review.

The Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General has advised RSL Australia that Buckingham Palace has not provided specific timelines by which the Official Portrait of His Majesty The King will become available. When the official portrait does become available, the Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet has advised that orders can be placed via the office of any local Federal Member of Parliament.

ANZAC House will continue to regularly liaise with RSL Australia regarding the portrait and advise sub-Branches as soon as more information becomes available.
