Circular 23/21 Annual Information Statements

Further to Circular 6/21, I remind all sub-Branches that it is a requirement of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) that they submit an Annual Information Statement (AIS) by the end of their reporting period. The 2020 AIS was due on 30 June 2021.

The AIS can only be lodged by the sub-Branch via the Charity Portal on the ACNC website. You will need your ACNC specific sub-Branch email address and password to access the ACNC Charity Portal.

If you require support to access the ACNC Charity Portal or have forgotten your ACNC email address and password, please contact the ACNC directly on 13 22 62 between the hours of 1pm to 5pm Monday to Friday.

It is essential that the AIS is submitted as failure to complete same could result in the ACNC deregistering your sub-Branch as a charity.

The lodgement of the AIS with the ACNC, also presents an opportunity to ensure the sub-Branch’s ‘Responsible People’ (i.e. Executive and Trustees) are up to date on the sub-Branch’s ACNC account.
