Circular 7/23 Updated RSL Pledge
The proclamation of the accession of His Majesty The King, Charles the Third, by the Grace of God King of Australia and his other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth was announced by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia last year. Accordingly, please find below the updated RSL Pledge of Allegiance:
I, [name of member] do hereby swear Allegiance to His Sovereign Majesty King Charles III, His Heirs and Successors, and the Commonwealth of Australia, and do hereby subscribe to the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Australia, the Constitution of the Returned and Services League of Australia.
“God Save The King”.
RSL Australia is awaiting advice regarding The King’s Coronation and any subsequent changes to the Crown. To date, an official portrait of The King has not been released by The Royal Family.
