Circular 57/23 New Veteran Support Fund resources
Sub-Branches are encouraged to download flyers to use in collaboration with veteran support organisations when discussing how their initiatives can be considered for funding by the VSF.
Every member will receive comprehensive information about the VSF in the September issue of the Reveille. In the meantime, a poster guide outlining the process of nominating a veteran support organisation for funding will be sent to each sub-Branch.
To propose charitable initiatives for funding in 2024, sub-Branches must complete a Funding Proposal Application Form and submit it to their respective District President on or before 30 September 2023. Nominations will be compiled and presented to the District Presidents’ Council (DPC) for a thorough review. The final list of approved VSF initiatives for 2024 will be confirmed on 1 November 2023.
Donations to the Veteran Support Fund to interim initiatives and sub-Branch proposed initiatives approved by the DPC to be included in the VSF, should be included in the sub-Branch budget for FY2024.
For future initiatives for 2025 and beyond, sub-Branches are encouraged to continue submitting proposals for the VSF to their District Presidents throughout the year. Proposals submitted after 31 March will be thoughtfully reviewed by the DPC for potential inclusion in the following year’s VSF targets. For instance, submissions received after 31 March 2024 will be considered for the VSF allocation in 2025.
