Circular 45/23 2023 State Congress and AGM
The 2023 Annual General Meeting and State Congress will take place from 22 – 24 October 2023 at Newcastle Exhibition and Convention Centre (NEX). These details were noted in the Board Communique for 29 March 2023.
Action for sub-Branch Office Bearers
Motions due: 15 August 2023
In accordance with the RSL NSW Constitution (Appendix C, Clause 2), sub-Branches are required to propose motions for the AGM by 15 August 2023 (i.e.10 weeks prior to the AGM).
Please submit all motions for consideration by the Agenda Committee and Board by email to support@rslnsw.org.au.
If you prefer to submit motions by mail, please allow sufficient time for the mail to reach ANZAC House before 15 August 2023:

- Notice of meeting issued: 26 September 2023
- Congress registrations open online: 14 August 2023
- Proxy nominations due to ANZAC House: 17 October 2023
Delegate eligibility
- To ensure your sub-Branch is eligible to send a delegate to Congress and that any motion complies, please review clauses 15.39-15.41, 15.48-15.52, and Appendix C of the Constitution, which can be found online here.

- Please consider booking accommodation for your delegate and alternate delegate as soon as possible. A link to Newcastle accommodation options can be found here.
Financial assistance
- If your sub-Branch requires financial assistance for a delegate to attend, please submit your application to the sub-Branch Support & Assistance Fund by completing this form.
