News - Member Newsletter Light up the Dawn campaign

Dear members,

With ANZAC Day just a few days away so much is happening across the League and the veteran community as a whole.

As you all make your plans for what will be a very different ANZAC Day this year, I ask you to watch this video about the Light Up The Dawn initiative.

Taking part in this brief commemorative service at 6am on ANZAC Day is a way for all Australians to be united in our own community-wide solemn recognition of all servicemen and women, past and present.

If you know that your street is taking part in this initiative please let the support team know by emailing support@rslnsw.org.au with your street name, suburb and post code.

While we cannot mark this occasion with our traditional dawn services and marches, footage can still be captured to document how Australians embodied the ANZAC Spirit and remembered our mates during these uncertain times.

Please note that details of streets taking part in the initiative may be passed to media outlets to capture footage.

Thank you for reading,

Jeff O’Brien
