RSL NSW Chief Executive Officer to Retire

RSL NSW Chief Executive Officer to Retire

Recruitment process underway for a new CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of RSL NSW and RSL Welfare and Benevolent Institution, Robyn Collins, has advised that she will retire later this year, RSL NSW President James Brown said today.

“Robyn has worked for our organisation for the past seven years, first establishing the welfare systems and staff of RSL DefenceCare, and then in the pivotal role of CEO during the transitional phase of the past two years,” Mr Brown said.

“The Board wants to thank Robyn for stepping up to shoulder significant responsibilities, managing both RSL NSW and RSL WBI through the Bergin Inquiry and completely transforming the staff and systems of both organisations.

“Much of what we have achieved in repairing State Branch in the past two years has been due to her efforts.”

Ms Collins said she had decided to retire after more than 30 years in the workforce and seven years with RSL NSW and RSL WBI.

“It has been a wonderful privilege to have led a much-loved institution like RSL NSW, which has had its fair share of challenges, and work with the leadership team to professionalise the organisation and turn it around,” Ms Collins said.

As announced earlier today, RSL NSW is embarking on a major reform program, lifting the ban on sub-Branch fundraising after two years of internal repair and releasing a draft Constitution for consultation with the members.

The CEO search process will be managed by the independent external search firm People for Purpose, who have commenced advertising the position today, which can be viewed here.
