RSL and Schools Remember ANZAC Commemoration 2022

As a result of pandemic-related restrictions, students across the State will attend the annual RSL and Schools Remember ANZAC Commemoration at their respective schools as opposed to traveling to the Anzac Memorial, Hyde Park. RSL NSW has ensured that school students can honour the service and sacrifice of our servicemen and women this ANZAC Day by facilitating virtual access to the event.

The RSL and Schools Remember ANZAC Commemoration is coordinated by RSL NSW, the NSW Department of Education, Catholic Schools NSW, and the NSW Association of Independent Schools.

The Commemoration Service has been held annually in NSW since 1953 (excluding 2020). Usually, schools from all sectors are invited to participate and lay a floral tribute during the service.

This year’s service includes students from several schools leading different elements of the commemoration. RSL NSW President Ray James provides closing remarks.

The service is now available to watch online here and the Order of Service can be viewed here. To watch with closed captions, click here.

Sub-Branch Executives are encouraged to share this resource with schools in their community if required.
