Military Wife Life Defence Community

When Beck found herself in a new posting location with her husband who had joined the Royal Australian Navy, with no friends, no employment, and no networks she realised she needed to make a change. She decided to get involved in the Defence community and what she found was the missing support she never knew she needed.

Fast forward 10 years and Beck is now the founder of Military Wife Life, a place that connects other spouses who are going through all that she and so many have experienced- the ups and downs, challenges, and celebrations of military life.

Beck wanted to make sure no spouse of a current serving member or veteran ever felt disconnected and alone like she did so she created a place where spouses could feel supported, tell their stories and connect. A place where all could feel like they belonged to a community.

Through her podcast Military Wife Life, her online communities, and her ‘Lots of Love’ care packages for military spouses, Beck advocates self-care, celebrating each other’s strengths, building social connections, and most importantly, acknowledging all that military spouses do and sacrifice on the daily.

“I wanted to create a space where all spouses feel seen and heard and to provide spouses with the information, support, and community they need,

To know that every spouse who is part of the MWL community feels like they have found their place, a place they have been searching for, makes me feel so very proud and privileged that I am the person to be able to provide that space for them.” -Beck

If you’re a military spouse and would love to be a part of a community that gets you, send a message to MWL Facebook page.
