Veterans’ Policy and Advocacy Update – May 2024

RSL NSW continues to work with all levels of Government, the RSL nationally, and other ESOs to be a strong advocacy voice for veterans and their families.

The latest Policy & Advocacy Update includes:

  • A review of what the Commonwealth Budget delivers for veterans
  • The RSL’s response to the proposed Veteran Entitlements legislation
  •  A summary from the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide final hearing block
  • Updates from the most recent RSL NSW Veteran Services and Policy Committee, National Veterans’ Affairs Committee and Ex-Service Organisations Round Table (ESORT) meetings
  • Continued progress on the Register of Motions
