10 weeks to go until the City2Surf!
As a member of the 2024 RSL NSW City2Surf Team, you will receive regular updates from RSL NSW with information to help plan your day, including how to collect your bib and T-shirt, pre-race training tips, key event timings, and FAQs.
The RSL NSW City2Surf Team has already reached capacity, and we are excited to welcome 300 current serving and veterans of the Australian Defence Force, and their families, to the start line on Sunday 11 August.
The RSL NSW City2Surf website page is live:
The City2Surf page on the RSL NSW website is now live. The website will be updated regularly in the lead-up to the 2024 City2Surf and is your one-stop-shop for all the details you need to get ready for race day.
How to collect your race bib and T-shirt:
All participant bibs will need to be collected from RSL NSW HQ (ANZAC House). There are two options for collection:
- Collect from ANZAC House (Level 11, 175 Pitt Street, Sydney) from Monday 5 August to Thursday 8 August 8:30am to 5:00pm, and Friday 9 August 8:30am to midday.
- Collect on race day at the pre-race breakfast function at ANZAC House.
When you collect your bib, you will also receive your free RSL NSW Sport & Recreation Program T-shirt and wristband for the post-race celebration.
Please note: Even if you registered directly with City2Surf during the free shipping period and then transferred to the RSL NSW City2Surf Team, you will need to collect your bib from ANZAC House.
Access free pre-race training videos:
Whether you are planning to run, walk or wheel the 14km from Sydney to Bondi Beach, RSL NSW has recruited an exercise physiologist to help you prepare with a series of pre-race training videos. These videos will be free to access soon via the City2Surf page on the RSL NSW website.
Tips for pre-race self-care:
From hydration and nutrition to sleep and rest, check the City2Surf page on the RSL NSW website for self-care tips that will set you up for a great race day.
Pre-race group warm up:
If you’re starting in the City2Surf pink wave (run) or orange wave (run/walk or walk), you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a fun, gentle group warm-up at ANZAC House as part of the team’s pre-race function. This activity is optional and you can decide if you want to take part on the day.
Keep an eye on the RSL NSW website:
The start times for each wave are still being finalised by the City2Surf organisers. As soon as the start times are announced, the RSL NSW website will be updated with a final timeline for all team participants. So, be sure to bookmark the web page and keep checking for regular updates.
RSL NSW Team post-race celebration!
Stay tuned! We will announce the venue for the post-race celebration very soon! We hope you can join us for food, refreshments, and camaraderie with your mates, old and new.
