Defence Family Loyalty Club is Launched, Extending Preferred Rate to all Australian Defence Force Members

The Hyde Park Inn is introducing a new loyalty program to enable all current and ex-serving members of the Australian Defence Force to access preferred rates for the first time. The launch of the new Defence Family Loyalty Club will replace the rates previously available to RSL NSW members.

RSL NSW exists to support all veterans and their families. The benefits which were traditionally available to RSL NSW members are being extended to all veterans and their families. This is consistent with RSL NSW’s mission as a veteran’s charity.

Commencing 1 October 2019, the benefits of the Defence Family Loyalty Club will also extend to the immediate family of loyalty club members. This expansion to a broader group of Defence Force members and their families requires changes to how such a program is managed; this includes adjustments to the pricing schedule and booking conditions for the first time in four years.

Under the new program, there will also be periods when preferred rates will not apply. These are based on non-military events where demand is high such as New Year’s Eve, the Easter long weekend and City2Surf weekend. Preferred rates will remain on ANZAC Day and ANZAC Day eve, and other events such as the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

All bookings already made with Hyde Park Inn for stays after 1 October will be honoured at the current discount rate, however new loyalty program preferred rates will apply from this date.

The pricing for the new program allows us to offer the Hyde Park Inn preferred rate to all current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members and their families.

The program will offer one main level of preferred rates most days except for one-night stays on Saturdays.

The Defence Family Loyalty Club will be free to join, and eligible members can join at any time with a requirement that members stay two nights every 12 months after joining.
