How It Helps

Donations to the Disaster Assistance Fund help in many ways. Often veterans contact RSL DefenceCare with an urgent need. The team provides a quick response, ensuring that veterans and their families receive the funds they need to alleviate the crisis.

Funds have helped veterans in need to purchase feed for live stock on their farms where grazing land has been burnt or impacted by drought. It’s also gone towards filling water tanks in these areas. The Disaster Fund helps pay for fuel and vehicle repairs, as well as repairs to property damaged by fire.

Thank you again to all of the District Councils, sub-Branches and Auxiliaries that have contributed to the fund. As communities across our state continue to battle with drought and bushfires, the Disaster Fund can provide some relief from the financial burden that these disasters cause.
