At 11am on Saturday the 6th of July a commemorative ceremony will be held at the Cenotaph. The ceremony will reflect on a number of solemn purposes, as follows: * To commemorate the inaugural Middle Eastern Area of Operations day. * To honour the service of local Korean War veteran Ron Price and his recognition of service on our cenotaph 70 years after the war's end. * The presentation of quilts to veterans and their families by 'Quilts for Valour'. * The presentation of RSL WWII medallions to local descendants of WWII veterans including a community medallion to be displayed at the RSL club. All community members are welcome to attend. Please share these details with local veterans and their families. Veterans are requested to wear medals. At the conclusion of the service we will adjourn to the RSL Club. 'In the service of those who have served'.
