Circular 31/23 Applications are open for Round 1 of the 2023/24 Community War Memorials Fund

Applications are now open for Round 1 of the 2023/24 Community War Memorials Fund (CWMF). RSL NSW sub-Branches are encouraged to apply for online grants of up to $10,000 to conserve, repair and protect local war memorials. Applications close on Tuesday, 25 July 2023.

RSL NSW sub-Branches can also support local councils or other memorial owners in their applications. For example, Hornsby Shire Council, supported by the Glenorie RSL sub-Branch, was awarded a $10,000 CWMF grant in 2021 to support the conservation of the Glenorie Roll of Honour. The grant funded conservation works and the installation of new bronze plaques.

Further information can be found on the Community War Memorials Fund page here.

As unincorporated associations, sub-Branches that are eligible to apply for grants can be sponsored/auspiced by RSL NSW. For more information about this process please contact your Member Support Team on 1300 679 775 or email support@rslnsw.org.au.

You can also access a recording of a forum held by the NSW Office for Veterans Affairs that focused on grant writing skills, available funding opportunities, and the challenges that NSW ESOs face when applying for grant funding. The recording of the forum, presentation slides, and additional resources are available here.
