RSL NSW members are invited to express their interest to be a voluntary attendant at the Cenotaph, Martin Place, Sydney.
Interested members will be required to join a small team of attendants in a roster system to attend approximately 30 commemorations throughout the year which are hosted by RSL NSW and other organisations during the week and on weekends.
Cenotaph attendants are responsible for tasks such as:
Raising the flags ahead of a commemorative service (and lowering them at end of the service)
Assist with wreaths laid during the service
Removing chains around the Cenotaph
Answering questions from members of the public
Cenotaph attendants are required to stand for up to two hours and will be required to wear an RSL sub-Branch navy blazer with a name badge, medals, and an RSL NSW tie.
