Dungog and District Honour Roll: call for nominations
10 December 2021

The Dungog RSL Sub-branch have received a grant from the DVA Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grant Program and commenced collecting nominations for a new Dungog and District Honour Roll for Service from 1974. These names will be added to a new honour board to be hung in the RSL Club before ANZAC Day 2022. Our duty is to remember those who have given military service to our Country and not forget the sacrifices they have made. While the older generations can see their family’s service on honour rolls it was time for the current generations to get the same recognition as those earlier ANZACs.

The Dungog RSL Sub-branch is reaching out to the veteran community to identify and nominate those with war-like service since 1974 and who have an affiliation with the Dungog district. If you were awarded the AASM or the AOSM (specific operations/periods) then you qualify for war-like service.

Anyone can nominate a service person who qualifies with war-like service for inclusion on the honour roll. The affiliation criteria for the Dungog district are through birth, schooling, living, next of kin or other special affiliation. More details are on the Dungog RSL Sub-branch Facebook page. The Sub-branch Project Officer, Martin Holmes, is taking nominations and can be contacted by email DungogSB@rslnsw.org.au or 0415 912673.
