"Shared Mission, Shared Future" - recent partnering opportunities
Written by CEO/State Secretary: Mr G Kolomeitz
As part of our strategic planning for the period 2016-2021, members would know that RSL NSW has adopted the vision statement – “Shared Mission, Shared Future”. Part of this vision is gaining greater participation on the part of the corporate sector and government in the execution of our Mission. I am very pleased to have been involved in some of the fantastic work done by our marketing and appeals teams in engaging with the NRL in the lead-up to ANZAC Day 2016. This sort of partnering allows us to get our message out – to promulgate our core Mission - whilst concurrently allowing such organisations as the NRL to say, ‘proudly supporting the work of RSL NSW’. I am especially grateful for the support provided in both the appeals and marketing space by Todd Greenberg, CEO NRL, the team of “The Footy Show” especially Erin Molan for her genuine and heartfelt advocacy of the work of our operational arm, RSL DefenceCare, and the public relations work done, largely on a pro bono basis, by the ladies from Hill+Knowlton Strategies.
In the coming months, members will hear about the development of what I am calling the “tripartite relationship” between RSL NSW, the State and Federal governments, and the corporate sector in funding and delivering the broad array of services required of us under our charitable trust obligations.
